Dr. Amy K. Chow, O.D.
Dr. Amy K. Chow graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1995. She acquired the practice from Dr. Ronald S. Joelson and formed Cupertino Family Eye Care Optometry in September 1999. She obtained her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in Economics and is a native Californian, growing up in Oakland, CA. Dr. Chow is an active member of the Santa Clara Optometric Society and the California Optometric Association.
When not in the office, Dr. Chow spends time with her three wonderful children and her husband. Her passions include arts & crafts, good food, and relaxing with family and friends. |
Dr. Gigi Hsiao, O.D.
Dr. Gigi Hsiao obtained her undergraduate degree in Physiology from UC Berkeley and graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1993. She has been practicing at Cupertino Family Eye Care Optometry since 1996. Outside of the office, Dr. Hsiao enjoys fitness exercise like hiking, zumba, cycling, and yoga, as well as cooking, sports, travel, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Hsiao also dedicates her extra time to volunteering at her children’s schools, teaching kids Sunday school at church, and is actively involved with organizations like The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Reading Tutors, serving underserved communities. |
Dr. Nina Kamalsky, O.D.
Dr. Nina Kamalsky obtained her optometry degree from Berkeley Optometry. She completed an externship at the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Tacoma, Washington emphasizing ocular disease and an externship in Atwater, CA emphasizing general family eye care. Dr. Kamalsky participated in an optometric humanities service in Thailand where she volunteered her time and expertise to the under-privileged communities. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves trying new things whether it be food or activity.

Dr. Ivana Hwang, O.D.
Dr. Ivana Hwang was born and raised in the South Bay. She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate studies and then completed her doctorate in optometry at UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2018.
Dr. Hwang did her external rotations at community health clinics in Santa Rosa, Novato and the Veterans Association in Miami. She also participated in a mission trip in Taiwan which provided glasses and basic ocular health care to rural and under-served communities throughout Taiwan. She speaks basic clinical Spanish and basic clinical Mandarin. In her spare time outside of the office, Dr. Hwang enjoys eating spicy cuisine, drinking milk tea and non-strenuous hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Kensi. |
